Do I need an account?
No — the rubric builder works anonymously and saves to your browser. A free account removes the export watermark, unlocks AI generation, and saves your rubrics to the cloud so you can open them on any device and share read-only links.
How do I export a rubric?
Open your rubric and choose Export. You can download it as a print-ready PDF or an editable DOCX (Word) file. Signed-in users get a clean, watermark-free export.
How does AI rubric generation work?
Describe your assignment and choose the structure (number of criteria and performance levels), and Rubric Maker drafts a full rubric into the editor for you to review and adjust. AI generation is free when you sign in, with a fair-use limit of 5 rubrics per day.
Can I share a rubric with others?
Yes. You can publish a rubric as a read-only link that anyone can view, and you can revoke that link at any time.
